Yes, you may have a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) or a Registered
Dietitian.

No, hard copy applications will not be accepted. All applications must be
submitted online.

between two or more organizations?
Yes. However, you should choose one organization to receive the funds and
administer them.
7) What type of activity would fulfill the requirement for a physical activity
component?

going?
In general, programs will be funded for one year only. One important part of
the selection criteria for the grant is the sustainability of the program after
the grant period is over. If your organization or agency initiates a new
program, or uses the same program but targets a different population group, it
would be appropriate to submit another proposal at that time.
9) If my organization but did not previously receive a Champions for Healthy
Kids grant, are we eligible to apply this year?
Yes, if your organization applied, but did not receive a Champions for Healthy
Kids grant, you are eligible to apply this year for the same program or a
different program.
10) Do I need a General Mills plant in the area to apply for this grant?
No, applicants are not required to be located in an area where a General Mills
manufacturing facility is located.
11) Are indirect costs, capital expenses or overhead costs allowed?
Indirect costs, capital expenses and overhead costs are allowable. However,
given these are meant to be one-time project grants, preference will be given
to projects with low/no indirect, capital and overhead costs.
12) What is the difference between program materials and program equipment?
Examples of program materials include curriculum, books, DVDs/CDs and software.
Examples of program equipment include jump ropes, exercise mats, balls,
pedometers and cooking utensils.
