Stakeholders in our social responsibility

Our stakeholders are varied, and we are committed to them.

We solicit input from groups like Ceres – a coalition of investors, environmental organizations and other public interest groups that work with companies to advance their environmental and social performance – to ensure we address issues of concern to them.

We are also a member of the United Nations Global Compact, a collaboration of businesses, NGOs (nongovernmental organizations) and the United Nations dedicated to improving human rights, labor, the environment and business practices.

We are committed to working globally on these important issues.

We have been participants in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) since its inception in 2000 and regularly report our greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies to this initiative. The CDP compiles data from 2,500 organizations in some 60 countries around the world.

To fund nutrition research and help promote nutrition education, we work with several organizations including the:

And we work with various organizations on food safety – from the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum to the Institute of Medicine and the National Organic Standards Board.
